PRESS RELEASE 'enSpired' Solution to ASIC Design
A highly experienced team of designers has joined together to launch enSpire, an innovative solution to ASIC/FPGA design for companies of all sizes. The Cheltenham-based company, founded by Leon Wildman, Jon Gunther and Nick Townsend, brings together 26 years of ASIC/FPGA experience, utilising both technical and project-management skills to offer professionally engineered, cost effective FPGA and ASIC solutions. The key aim of enSpire, as Director, Leon Wildman explains, is to be flexible and responsive to customer needs, whatever their size: "As a small focussed company concentrating on the ASIC/FPGA design discipline, we are able to seamlessly fit the work practices of our customers and provide them with the most up-to-date advice and skills. Rather than having to go through the slow process of training and gaining experience internally, as well as having to invest in expensive, specialist equipment, by coming to us, customers can reap the benefits of modern design techniques immediately." This approach is invaluable in a sector that is suffering from a shortage of skilled designers. Outsourcing allows companies to concentrate on what they are good at, eliminate investment in ever-changing technology and reduce overhead costs. enSpire are targeting semiconductor users from all sections of the electronics industry, from multi-nationals to SMEs. Leon Wildman believes that there is demand that needs to be fulfilled at all levels: "Whatever their size, companies in the industry require external assistance to operate competitively. Whether it is as consultancy to optimise a design flow, a contractor to carry out certain parts of the design project, or the outsourcing of the entire design, enSpire can carry out any of these roles in a way that is tailored precisely to the needs of the customer."
